Activities & Events

TrekFest Webpage
Trek Fest is the annual celebration of everything Star Trek. Gene Rodenberry author of the original Star Trek said that Captain James T. Kirk was born in a small Iowa town. When contacted Mr. Rodenberry agreed that Riverside, Iowa, could and should be the birthplace of this famous fictional character. The last full weekend in June is when the celebration is held.

There are a wide variety of activities each year for Trekkie and non-Trekkies alike. Star Trek costume contests, viewing of Star Trek Movies, one of the largest parades in the area, State Fair Talent Show and a huge fireworks display.

This TrekFest page is dedicated to the actual Trekfest event. It is updated with information on the event in progress or strting in April for the current year. Fore addition information, please visit the Riverside Area Community Club web page located at https://riversideareacommunityclub.com.
