No Signs on Public Property

Election season is upon us again. Elections are a key part of our democracy at all levels of government and the City of Riverside encourages citizens to engage in the process. However, the City does want to take this opportunity to send out a friendly reminder to make sure that all signs are properly placed on your property.

The public right-of-way (the space between the curb and your property line) is public property and per City Code section 165.21(9)(D), signs cannot encroach or extend into this public right-of-way. Please make sure all signs are placed within your property lines. Any signs found on public property will be moved on to the adjacent private property. If no area is available, the sign will be removed and placed on your doorstep for relocation.
